Meet Deanna, or De for short, because who has time for extra syllables? She’s the Captain Marvel of More Than Mortgages (MTM). For six consecutive years she has been named the top female broker in the ACT. Not just a local hero, De has also secured a Top 100 national ranking for eight straight years.
Career and Credentials
De entered the world of mortgages 15 years ago and quickly started building her empire of more than a billion dollars in home loans. She is a member of the Mortgage and Finance Association of Australia (MFAA) and holds a Certificate IV, a Diploma in Financial Services, and plenty of practical experience. But don’t let the formal titles fool you. De is far from stuffy. If you need a reality check, she is your go-to.
Awards and Recognition
De’s awards cabinet is overflowing. In 2023, she and her rockstar team won Mortgage Brokerage of the Year, and she was named ACT Mortgage Broker of the Year by the Specialist Finance Group (SFG). This year, she is once again a finalist for ACT Mortgage Broker of the Year 2025.
More Than Mortgages is also a finalist for ACT Mortgage Brokerage of the Year 2025, and her fabulous broker Tristina is up for ACT Mortgage Broker of the Year 2025. It’s proof that MTM is not only a top team with top brokers, but also a testament to Deanna’s mentorship and leadership.
Why She Does It
De’s mission is simple. She wants you to get the keys to your dream home without selling a kidney. Her genuine desire to make homeownership accessible drives her to go above and beyond for her clients. Think of her as your mortgage fairy godmother, just without the wand.
Life Beyond Mortgages
When she’s not making mortgage magic, De lives life in full colour. Her home backs onto a golf course and sits just 4km from one of Australia’s most beautiful beaches. She is a golfer, a fisherwoman, and a budding surfer. She also loves salsa dancing (the dance, not the dip) and can hold her own at karaoke night.
In 2023, she climbed Gokyo Ri in the Himalayas, reaching 5,357 metres with zero prep. The climb tested her stamina and transformed her perspective. It also inspired her to help organise charity treks to support underdeveloped Nepalese villages. On top of that, she led MTM’s initiative to sponsor the education of three young Nepali girls through ‘Little Sisters‘ in Nepal.
